Our Head Trainer Jay Trains Socially Anxious Senior Dogs
Neko and Kirby don’t usually go #2 while their father is at work no matter who is taking them on a walk. They don’t like pooping with dog walkers. Neko and Kirby have separation anxiety that spikes when their dad leaves for work, and whenever the dogs leave the home with a walker. How do we make walks feel safe and enjoyable for them and maybe even more importantly exercise, without feeding Neko and Kirby treats the whole time? Our head trainer Jay holds a session with Neko and his brother Kirby at the park here, using principles of Mindfulness, and Balanced Dog Training Methods to encourage Neko and his brother to stay present on their walk long enough to do their #2 business outdoors on the way home, and enjoy relaxed naps after their morning walk. That’s a win!!
